10. Transition Section

Roof Stair with Transition Assembly Instructions (72'-105')

1. Begin assembly at the bottom eave of the roof with the bottom three (3) step section,

part #LDR-5129. When fastening the rib spanning bracket to the roof rib, field drill through the
bracket and the roof rib, then fasten with 5/16" x 1-1/4" bolts and nuts.

(See Figure 10A on Page 32.)

2. Follow up the bottom three (3) step section (LDR-5129) with intermediate three (3) step sections

(LDR-4210). Continue adding intermediate three (3) step sections (LDR-4210) until you are within
72" of the roof transition. At this point, measure the distance remaining to pass the roof transition
and decide whether the two (2) step section (LDR-4211) will fit best above or below the four (4) step
transition section (LDR-4406).

Figure 10A on Page 32

shows the two (2) step section below the

four (4) step transition sections. If the distance is more than 48", the two (2) step section (LDR-4211)
will most likely fit better below the four (4) step transition section (LDR-4406).

3. After the two (2) step section (LDR-4211) and the four (4) step transition section (LDR-4406) have

been utilized, continue attaching intermediate three (3) step sections (LDR-4210) towards the peak
of the roof.

(See Figure 10B on Page 33.)

4. The last section attached at the peak of the roof should be the top four (4) step section (LDR-4239).

Roof Stair with Transition Assembly Instructions (135')

2. Follow up the bottom three (3) step section (LDR-5129) w/ twelve (12) intermediate three (3) step

sections (LDR-4210). At this point, the four (4) step transition section (LDR-4406) should be placed.
NOTE: The 135' package does not include a two (2) step section.

(See Figure 10A on Page 32.)

3. After the four (4) step transition section (LDR-4406) has been utilized, continue adding intermediate

three (3) step sections (LDR-4410) towards the peak of the roof.

(See Figure 10B on Page 33.)

The

135' roof requires five (5) more intermediate sections to be placed after the transition section.

4. The last section attached at the peak of the roof should be the top three (3) step section (LDR-5130).
