2. Apply masking tape to random areas of the taillight to see that the masking tape sticks well to the lens.
Especially along the edges. If the tape sticks well then swipe the perimeter of the taillight with the adhesive
promoter pen provided. TECH NOTE: Be careful not to allow the adhesive promoter to run all over the lens or
allow your swipe to exceed the thickness of the outer taillight covers rim. The reason for this is that the adhesive
promoter may tend to have an ashy look when dried. This will cause you to have to clean it which is extra work.
It is also important that you apply the promoter along the outer edge only and not the center areas that contain
the long extensions!
3. Now that the factory taillights are correctly prepped you can move onto attaching the covers. (TECH NOTE:
Although it is not absolutely necessary you will find it a lot easier if you remove each taillight to install the new
covers) These covers come to you preformed to match your taillights however it is imperative that you further
shape the covers so that they match the taillight. This may require you to adjust the extensions in the cover so
that they match your taillight without having to force them down. This will eliminate any possibility of the
extensions popping up down the road. Take your time here to shape each cover. Once they match simply peel
the red release liner from the back of the covers and firmly press them into place. Use a soft cloth to press along
the entire surface to insure a good bond.
4. The last step will be to apply the emblem. Peel the protective liner. The center areas have been engraved with
an outline. This outline will match the self stick emblem which will help you to place the emblem straight and
center. Simply peel the emblem off its liner and then carefully set it into place pressing firmly to set the
adhesive. Apply all four to finish the installation.
