Your new taillight covers are made to fit directly over the factory light lenses,
however it will be necessary to hand form your new covers so that they match closer
to the factory contoured shape. It is important to know and understand that the new
cover will not just simply set into place without pre shaping them. It is also
important that you understand that these covers are made to the near exact size of
the light opening in the bumper and that this opening slightly sets down into a sort
of valley. So in order to properly place them it will be necessary to set the pre
shaped cover down into the opening and then roll it onto the lenses.
1. Remove all eight factory screws from the taillights. NOTE: These screws will not
be reused.
2. Carefully place each taillight cover into position. Do this slowly so that you do
not scratch your paint. (If you feel more comfortable you can tape the painted
area around your taillights using masking tape before installing your new
stainless covers). NOTE: The lamps tend to move, so if you use something
smaller in diameter then the screws like a “small” Phillips screwdriver to
align everything and then hold it in place prior to installing the new screws, it
will make getting the screws started properly much easier.
3. Once your cover or covers are in position place two of the replacement screws
(provided) thru the white button sockets (provided) and fasten securely being
careful not to over tighten.
