so that you can set the two holes in the bracket at the hole locations you just exposed at the base of
the fuel rail. The small notches in the brackets will allow you to bend the top portion so that it folds
over the fuel rail providing an attachment point for the new fuel rail cover. After you have successfully
formed the brackets simply reinstall the fuel rail bolts to secure the new bracket. After it’s nice and
tight tweak the shape of the bracket so that it sits nice and snug to the fuel rail.

3. Using a fuel line removal tool detach the fuel line and cap the fuel rail with the 3/8” vacuum cap
provided. This will help to reduce the amount of fuel that will spill out of the fuel line. Soak up any fuel
that will have puddle with a paper towel. (The fuel line removal tool is an inexpensive tool available at
any auto parts store for just a buck and change.) You will also need to unclip the small stainless steel
safety clip before you can detach the fuel line.
4. Your factory fuel rail covers contain two small rubber attachment sockets attached to the underside of
each cover. With a little force remove these sockets and then install them on the new stainless covers.

5. Now that you have successfully installed the attachment brackets and rubber sockets remove the
release liner from the Velcro strip attached to the brackets to expose the adhesive. Apply a single
swipe of adhesive promoter to the underside of the new covers where this Velcro strip will make
contact, allow a few seconds to dry. Set the new covers onto the attachment spindles provided for the
factory covers and gently push down to snap the new cover on and then roll the top side of the new
covers so that they make contact with the exposed adhesive on the attachment bracket and firmly
press down. Once you have made that contact remove the cover so that you can set the Velcro strip
with your fingers more efficiently. Then reinstall the new cover. At this time you will need to take a
look at the overall fitment of the cover to determine if you need to shape the new cover by hand to
make sure it is sitting in a good position and nice and snug to the engine. Although you should not have
to make any extreme changes you will always need to tweak the shape a little to get just the right fit. A
properly fitting cover will sit nice into the scalloped areas of the plenum and sit nice and snug to the
engine. If the new cover seems to sit a little high or seems to have an excessive gap between the
plenum and new cover this can be adjusted by removing the new cover once more and then force the
attachment bracket downward and more tightly to the fuel rail. Then simply reinstall the new cover.
Once you have achieved a nice close and snug fit you can now simply snap on the fuel line by removing
the vacuum cap and then push the line in place until it snaps on securely. To make sure your line is in
place properly pull the line with some force demonstrating that the line has been successful installed.
A properly reinstalled fuel line will require the removal tool to allow you to detach it.

6. Now that you have successfully installed the new cover and fuel line you can apply the decorative fuel
line cover. This small chrome piece will contain butyl putty already applied to the underside. Simply
remove the release paper strip and then firmly press it into position. Remove the blue protective liner
to finish the driver side fuel rail cover installation. The passenger side cover installs in exactly the same
way less the fuel line. Simply follow the same procedure remove the protective liner and install the oil
cap and decorative cap cover.
