This new kit is a really nice and inexpensive way to add a little chrome trim to the rear
side markers. The two piece kit is so simple and easy to install that we almost did not
offer it if it weren't for the fact that it simply looks great! Follow these next few steps and
add a nice custom look to your C5.
1. Thoroughly clean the side marker with alcohol to remove any and all road grime dirt
and wax.
2. You have been provided with a pencil style adhesive promoter tube. Snap the tube to
release the fluid and then swipe the outer edge of the two side markers.
3. Peel of a small length of the red release liner from the back of the trim and then set it at
the very bottom edge of the light lens. Be sure to push the trim against the paint yet allow
it to stick directly to the lens side and work your way around the lens as you peel the
release liner.
4. As you come around to the start point, mark the end with your finger nail or a fine
marker. Cut the trim slightly longer to compensate for shrinkage over time. Apply a tiny
dab of instant adhesive at the joint and then buckle the two ends together and then press
the trim down to achieve a nice tight butt seam to finish the installation.
DO NOT GET WET FOR 24 HOURS.
