Installation Considerations
The 06500 and 06501 tub spouts require a 1/” male threaded pipe nipple, extending 4” - 4 1/4”
outside the surface of the finished wall.
IMPORTANT: Please read the installation instructions for the shower valve before
installing the 06501000 tub spout with diverter. Some shower valves cannot be used
in combination with diverter tub spouts.
Installation
Seal the wall around the nipple with a good quality
waterproof bathroom sealant.
Wrap the threads on the nipple with several layers
of Teflon TM thread tape.
Screw the tub spout to the nipple. Tighten with a
strap wrench to prevent damage to the finish.
