Practical instructions
The ammonium concentration has to be determined immediately
after taking the sample as the ammonium content changes very
quickly due to the micro organisms that are present. It is best to take
the sample using a syringe filter for transport to the laboratory or to
stabilize it otherwise. When adding stabilizing solutions, the dilution
factor has to be taken into account.
While determining the reference concentrations in the lab (step 2),
you can use the sensor for control purposes again by switching the
maintenance condition off and thus releasing the linked outputs. The
sensor continues to use the data of the previous matrix adjustment
(or calibration). The reference voltages determined in step 1 will not
be lost. They remain stored until step 3 of the matrix adjustment is
completed. They do not have to be noted and entered again.
