Lights

Two short beeps

You are pressing the TCID or DIRS keys when the volume is already
at its highest or lowest setting.

Four short beeps

Low battery warning.

Three beeps

Out of range while the handset is on a call.

Three rising tones

The telephone has completed the command successfully.

Beeps every 10 seconds

Message alert.

Battery status - battery is charging (animated display).

Battery status - low battery (flashing); place handset in
telephone base or charger to recharge.
SPEAKERPHONE - the speakerphone is in use.

Ringer off - the handset ringer is turned off.

NEW VOICEMAIL - new voicemail received from the local
telephone company.

ANS ON

Answering system is turned on.
Message - new message in the answering system.

NEW

Missed and unreviewed calls.

MUTE

Microphone is muted.
Message counter - number of messages playing.

ANSWER ON

On when the
answering system
is on and ready to
receive calls.

VOICEMAIL

Flashes when you have
new voicemail. Voicemail
service is offered by your
local telephone company,
and is different from
answering system
messages.

IN USE

On when the handset is in use,
when the answering system is
answering an incoming call.
Flashes when another telephone
is in use on the same line.
Flashes quickly when there is an
incoming call.

CHARGE

On when the handset is charging
in the telephone base or charger.

Lighted display

Lighted
dial pad

SPEAKER

On when the
speakerphone is
on.
