Tempest®24 00 2 -Channel Wireless Intercom System

Auxiliary Output

Audio from the Auxiliary OUT Connector can be assigned from any combinati on of the two intercom channels with Volume

control at the “Aux Out Assignment/Levels” menu. Audio from the Auxillary OUT connector comes only from the wireless

users and no audio from the hardwired intercom channels is routed to Auxillary OUT.

While in the “Aux Out Assignment/Level” menu, the front panel Channel Select (SEL) butt on is used to advance through the

channels and the OUT level control is used to adjust the Aux OUT volume. Adjust to OFF to restrict audio from a channel.

Audio levels are expressed in Decibels (dB). The audio range for Aux OUT are:

»

Aux Out: -12 dB to +12

The Aux IN and OUT connectors are ¼” Tip/Ring/Sleeve jacks that accept standard ¼” TRS plugs. The Aux IN and OUT

connecti ons are balanced and transformer isolated and operate at a nominal line level audio of - 4 to + 8 dBu.

Reset Memory

There are three opti ons to reset memory:

Restore Factory Default

,

Clear Memory

, and

Reset Radio Setti ngs

. Both the

BaseStati on and each BeltStati on have a “Factory Default” opti on in the “Tech Menu.” Browse to the “Tech Menu,” select

“Factory Default,” and choose any of the three opti ons. From the BaseStati on, “Restore Factory Defaults” only resets

BaseStati on defaults. BeltStati on factory defaults can be reset in each BeltStati on and changes are relayed wirelessly to the

BaseStati on.

Restore Factory Default

This opti on will restore all setti ngs to factory defaults except pairings and names.

Clear Memory

Occasionally, it may be desirable to remove all previous setti ngs and user defi ned names, such as when equipment is

transferred to a new project or work site. Clear Memory on a BeltStati on will require re-pairing of BeltStati ons. It may

be necessary to select a Frequency Band due to country specifi c RF requirements, on the BaseStati on.

Reset Radio Setti

ngs

This is a BaseStati on feature only. Selecti ng this opti on will only reset the Frequency Band to “1,” the Network

Number to “0’” and the Lockout Key to “255.” The BeltStati on radio setti ngs are determined by the BaseStati on.

Be aware that restoring factory defaults will have an immediate eff ect on volume, sidetone,

relay selecti on, Aux In/Out levels, hardwired intercom levels, and Shared Slot setti ngs,
among others.

This opti on will restore all setti ngs to factory defaults and will delete all user defi ned names.

All entries will be deleted and there is no “undo”.
