46 Start-up and Operation
4.4 Re-installing the Micro-PWC Software
If the Micro-PWC system software has already been installed, and you wish to re-install it, use the follow-
ing procedure.
1. If necessary, backup your Micro-PWC system configuration using the Micro-PWC Backup/
Restore utility. (The Backup/Restore utility is accessed by selecting Menu > Utilities from the
System Window.)
2. Archive any historical data that you need to keep. (The Archive Database utility is accessed by
selecting Menu > Utililties from the System Window.
3. Install the Micro-PWC system software as described in Section 3.5 of this Guide.
4.5 Removing a Micro-PWC Installation
If necessary, the Micro-PWC system software and related data can be completely removed from the PC on
which it is installed. To do so:
1. Navigate to the Control Panel.
2. Select Add or Remove Programs.
3. In the Add or Remove Programs window, locate the entry for Micro-DCI Micro-PWC.
4. Click Remove. Doing so will completely remove the following:
•all Micro-PWC system software
•the Micro-PWC system program group
•the capuser account
•all Micro-PWC system configuration data
•all data in the Historical Database

This utility should NOT be used if you are re-installing or
upgrading the Micro-PWC system software.
