To produce a Fuel/Air Profile for your engine, perform the following:

1. Climb to cruise altitude and set your manifold pressure and RPM for cruise flight.

2. Enter the Lean Operating Mode and lean your engine slowly until all the cylinders' EGTs have passed
peak (all the cylinder numbers located at the top of the EGT columns are blinking).
Note: It is not recommended to lean an engine for peak EGT above 75% power setting.

3. Before you enrichen the mixture, exit the Lean Operating Mode. Now you may enrichen the mixture if
you wish. A Fuel/Air Profile for your engine has been stored into the UBG's memory.

Note: The Profile display will be lost if the power to the UBG is turned off or when you enter the Lean
Operating Mode and lean your engine by 10’F or more.

4. Select “PEAK” in the digital display and push the Mode Switch to the Left. The digital display will show
“PROFILE” and the columns of bars represent the fuel/air distribution for your engine. The more bars lit in
a column, the richer the cylinder and the worse the fuel/air distribution is for your engine.
