Syncing Data Data from the Batch Portable application to the Batch Synchronization
Utility is transferred during a “data sync” operation. To sync data with the
workstation, connect the handheld device and the desktop computer (by
using a cradle or cable connection) and then perform a data sync from the
handheld application via the Sync menu option, found along the bottom of
the Main screen.
• To upload collected data to the Batch Synchronization Utility, tap Sync
> Send Data. A Status screen appears, showing you the status of the
data transfer process. When the upload is completed successfully, the
status bar will display “Successful Upload,” and you are returned to
the Main screen. For more information on processing the uploaded
data, please see
“Working with the Uploaded Data” on page 241 .
• To download data from the workstation application database, tap Sync
> Recv Data. A Status screen appears, showing you the data download
progress. When the download is completed, the status bar will display
“Successful Download,” and you are returned to the Main screen. The
downloaded data is now available in the batch portable application.
