Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing some problems with your instrument during its service, refer to this
section for possible solutions. However, if this doesn’t help, you should contact your local service
center.

Problem

Uneven illumination
throughout the field of
view

The objective lens is not locked in
place, i.e. optical system is not
properly aligned.

Rotate the revolving nosepiece
until the lens locks in place.

The diaphragm disc is not locked
in place

Rotate the disc until it locks in

One of the lenses is dirty

Clean the lens from dust or dirt

Clean the stage from

Store the device in a dry, cool place away from dust, hazardous acids and other chemicals, away
from heaters, open fire and other sources of high temperatures. Do not use the device for
lengthy periods of time, or leave it unattended in direct sunlight. Keep the device away from
water and high humidity.
Be careful during your observations, always replace the dust cover after you are finished with
observations to protect it from dust and stains.
If you are not using your microscope for extended periods of time, store the objective lenses
and eyepieces separately from the microscope.
