Telephone base settings
Rename base
You can create a new name for the telephone base.
1. When the telephone is idle, press MENU/
�ELECT.
2. Use q
CID
or p
DIR
to scroll to >�ettings, then press
MENU
/�ELECT.
3. Use q CID
or p DIR
to scroll to >Rename base, then
press
MENU
/�ELECT.
4. Change the telephone base name when prompted.
Press q
CID
or p
DIR
to move the cursor to the left
or right.
Use the dialing keys to enter a name (up to 11
characters). Each time you press a key, a character on that key appears.
Additional key presses produce other characters on that key. See the
chart on page 53.
Press
X/DELETE to backspace and delete a character.
Press and hold X/DELETE to delete all characters.
5. Press
MENU
/�ELECT to save the setting and return to the previous menu.
There is a confirmation tone.
�ey tone
The telephone base is set to beep with each key press. You can adjust the
key tone volume or turn it off. If you turn off the key tone, there are no
beeps when you press keys.

/�ELECT.

to select the desired volume
or Off.

/�ELECT to save your preference. There is a confirmation tone
and the screen returns to the previous menu.
