RUNNING IN
For optimum performance all hydraulic motors need running in. Run for approx 1 Hr at 30% of Max. Oil Pressure.
LUBRICATION
Freespool Handle (manual freespool version)- lubricate regularly with light oil.
Drum Bearings - these are self-lubricating but are lubricated with syncho gell bearing grease when assembled.
Gearbox - The gearbox is prelubricated with Syncho gel bearing grease or equivalent at the factory.
MAINTENANCE
After the first 1 hour of operation :
Check freespool mechanism action. Lubricate freespool mechanism with light oil. Check tightness of mounting bolts and
hydraulic connections.
Monthly :
Check brake function.
After 10 hours of winching or annually :
Change Gearbox grease (Approx. 100g Syncho gel Superwinch Part No. 55-95012). Check brake function. Lubricate
freespool mechanism with light oil. Check tightness of mounting bolts and hydraulic connections.
Planetary Gearbox :
The winch is delivered from the factory prelubricated. Change the grease in the gearbox at least once a year. The
grease recommended is Syncho gel and is available from Superwinch Part No. 55-95012 (100 g).
