Sampling Modes Overview
Depending on your timebase, you can choose:
Single-shot Sampling Mode (on page 75) - Also known as Real Time
mode, a series of digitized voltage values sampled on the input signal at
a uniform rate.
Sequence Sampling Mode (on page 76) - Many trigger events stored as
segments into the oscilloscope's memory.
RIS Sampling Mode (on page 84) - Random Interleaved Sampling (RIS),
an acquisition technique that allows effective sampling rates higher
than the maximum single-shot sampling rate.
Selecting a Sampling Mode
1.
Touch Timebase → Horizontal Setup... from the menu bar.
2.
On the Timebase dialog, select a Sample Mode.
3.
If you chose Sequence Mode, touch the Sequence tab and
provide values for Number of Segments, Enable Timeout,
Timeout (value), Display Mode, and Show Sequence Trigger
Times.
