5.8 Installing Devices on a PICMG 1.3 Backplane
Compatible PICMG 1.3 backplanes can accommodate the following devices:
PCIe x16 graphics cards
SDVO device graphics card
PCIe x4 expansion cards
PCIe x1 expansion cards
PCI expansion cards
5.8.1 PCIe x16 Graphics Card Installation
To install a PCIe x16 graphics card onto a backplane, please do the following:
Step 1:
Find the PCIe x16 socket on the backplane.
Step 2:
Align the edge connectors on the bottom of the PCIe x16 graphics card with the
socket. See Figure 5-16.

Step 3:
Gently push the PCIe x16 graphics card into the PCIe x16 socket on the
backplane.
Step 4:
Secure the PCIe x16 to the chassis. To do this please refer to the reference
material that came with the chassis.
