As you can see, this displays not only the current status of the device
(Alive/Lost), but also the ICMP statistics:
•
Consecutive ICMP responses and failures.
•
Total ICMP responses and failures.
•
Host last, minimum and maximum response times.
III - 5. Telnet
As previously mentioned, it is possible to access the IPDACT-2(UD) console
through a telnet client, from a PC or any other workstation. To do this, simply
execute the telnet client, indicating the IPDACT-2(UD) IP address. The
interface for this said console is identical to the one for the asynchronous
console, so for further information on this please see the section on this
console.
The following figure shows an example of accessing through telnet from the
default client program in the Windows operating system.
