Notes:

The minimum distance from the detector is 20 inches (50 cm).

The optional beam collimator is fitted for Extended Range.

At extreme temperatures, there is a 15% maximum reduction in the
range.

Important: Keep the Fire Simulator in a safe place when not in use.

D.1.4 Charging the Battery

The Fire Simulator uses NiCd batteries as a rechargeable power source.
When the batteries are fully charged, the simulator operates for at least
60 times without recharging. An internal buzzer is sounded when the
voltage from the batteries is lower than the required operational level.

To charge the battery:

Place the Fire Simulator on a table in a safe area.

Turn the sealed plug (next to the operation button) counter-clockwise
with a suitable wrench.

Connect the battery charger.

4

Charge for a maximum of 14 hours.

5

Disconnect the charger.

6

Tighten the sealed plug clockwise.
