Press Shift-F4. DSM/SCM displays a list of all the planners for this host system.

To page through the list, use the PgUp and PgDn keys. Press F16 to return to the Planner
Security Maintenance screen.

To check the security information for a planner, enter the planner’s user ID; then press F2. To
check information about the next planner in the list, press F3.

7.

Add or change security permissions for a planner:
a.

Enter the planner’s user ID or alias; then press F2 to check information about the planner.

b.

Make the changes by entering a Y in a data field to grant the permission or entering an
N in a data field to deny the permission.

c.

After you set all permissions, press Shift-F2 if you are updating an existing planner or F7
if you are adding a planner.

d.

If more than one page of planners exists, be sure to make any changes before pressing
F3 to check additional planners.

8.

After you add all planners, press F16 twice to return to the main menu.

Setting Security for Database Administrators

By default, the user ID for the host database administrator and target database administrator is
the DSM/SCM user ID. You must have at least one database administrator. In general, database
administrators have the most knowledge of NonStop Software Essentials, DSM/SCM, and supporting
products. For guidelines to help in planning security for database administrators, see

“Database

Administrator Tasks” (page 46)

To establish security for a database administrator:

Use NonStop Software Essentials or the ZPHIHMI for a host database

Use ZPHITMI for a target database

Setting Security for Host Database Administrators (NonStop Software Essentials)

Security for host database administrators is set through the Manage Host Administrators interface
in NonStop Software Essentials. To access the Manage Host Administrators interface:

Log on to NonStop Software Essentials (see

“Accessing the NonStop Software Essentials

Interface” (page 26)

) using an administrator user ID.

The Planner.

2.

Select Manage Host Administrators either from under the “Maintenance” heading on the
NonStop Software Essentials home page or from the Maintenance menu on the NonStop
Software Essentials menu bar.

3.

Security settings for host administrators are initially established when the host administrators
are created on the host, either through the Add Host Administrator or Add Like Host
Administrator actions. The example below pictures the Add Host Administrator dialog where
the permissions for an individual host administrator are defined. These security settings define
