Paper use

Depending on the type of software program in use, you can request that a number of
pages of your document be printed on one sheet of paper. This N-up printing
practice and the product’s automatic duplexing feature, which provides two-sided
printing, can reduce paper usage and the resulting demands on natural resources.

This HP LaserJet multifunction product also contributes to protecting the environment in
the following ways:

Plastics marking for recycling

Plastic parts over 25 grams have markings according to international standards that
enhance the ability to identify plastics for recycling purposes at the end of the
product’s life.

HP LaserJet printing supplies

In many countries, printing supplies (for example, toner cartridge, drum, and fuser)
can be returned to HP through the HP Printing Supplies Returns and Recycling
Program. An easy-to-use and free takeback program is available in more than 48
countries. Multilingual program information and instructions are included in every
new HP LaserJet toner cartridge and consumables package.

HP printing supplies returns and recycling program information

Since 1990, the HP Printing Supplies Returns and Recycling Program has collected
more than 47 million used LaserJet toner cartridges that otherwise might have been
discarded in the world’s landfills. Cartridges and consumables are collected and
bulk-shipped to HP’s resource and recovery partners who disassemble the
