tape backup applets

There are two built-in Tape Backup applets provided by Novell.

Sbackup

The first applet is Sbackup, provided with NetWare 3.x / 4.x. It is a console-based
utility that provides the functionality required to backup from and restore to a
NetWare server running an appropriate TSA (Target Service Agent). It does not
offer DDS Autoloader support.

For full details of Sbackup, consult the

Sbackup (NetWare 3.x / 4.x) Quick

Reference Guide.

SBCON

The other applet is SBCON, provided with NetWare 5.x. SBCON is also console-
based, but has a partner application called "NWBACK32" that can be used to
administer backups / restores through a windows-based interface on a remote
client. SBCON supports DDS Autoloaders.

For full details of SBCON, consult the

SBCON (NetWare 5.x) Quick Reference

Guide.
