Filing a Document into PaperMaster 98

Printing a “hard copy” into a file cabinet

PaperMaster 98 allows you to print a “hard copy” of a document from
any Windows application (including fax software, word processors and e-
mail) directly into your file cabinet.

1. Launch the PaperMaster 98 Readme file.

2. Select File>Print Topic… (The Print dialog box will appear.)

3. Select DocuMagix File Cabinet as your printer.

4. Click OK to print the document.

5. When the DocuMagix File Cabinet – Document Filing Options window

appears, enter the name of the document (if you would like something
other than the default), and select the cabinet and folder in which you
wish to file the document (if you wish to change it from the default
location.

The print feature is available for use with any Windows application, but
is ideal for faxes and e-mails or any document which you would like to
add annotation. See the AutoFax Filing section in the on-line help for
more information about automatically filing incoming faxes to your file
cabinet.

Filing a document in its original format

In addition to printing a “hard copy” of a document from any Windows
application into your file cabinet, you can alternatively elect to file it in
its original application format.

1. Launch Windows Explorer or, if you prefer, My Computer.

2. Launch PaperMaster 98.

3. Drag and drop any document (text or otherwise) to your open file

cabinet. The Inbox should appear with the document you just dragged
present.
