Requirements for the Host Server
For Database Validator operations, you need a host server that is connected to the storage system
with a Fibre Channel interface. The host server requirements for HP Database Validator operations
are:
• XP RAID Manager: 01-22-03/xx or later is required for Database Validator operations on the
storage system.
• Operating System (OS):
• Sun Solaris version 8 and version 10. For further information on storage system operations on

Solaris. For more information on the Solaris OS, see the Solaris user documentation or contact
Sun technical support.
• HP-UX version 11.0, version 11i v1, version 11i v2, and version 11i v3. For further information
