The Reserved Capacity field displays information about the available mainframe (zSeries ®

and S/390®) and multi-platform volumes that are reserved for XP Auto LUN. The following

information is displayed:
• The capacity of the reserved volumes
• The percentage of reserved volumes compared to the total mainframe and multiplatform

capacity is displayed in parentheses and in the pink area of the pie chart.

Number of LDEVs Box

The Number of LDEVs box is on the lower right of the XP Remote Web Console Main pane.

NOTE:

Each LDEV included in a LUSE is counted in the Number of LDEVs box. For example, if a LUSE includes

four LDEVs, all four LDEVs are counted.

Allocated OPEN LDEVs: Displays the number of open-system volumes that have assigned paths.

NOTE:

For the purpose of counting paths, each LUSE volume is counted as a single volume.

Unallocated OPEN LDEVs: Displays the number of open-system volumes that do not have assigned

paths.

NOTE:

This does not include On-Demand storage volumes or XP Auto LUN reserved volumes.

Reserved OPEN LDEVs: Displays the number of open-system volumes that are XP Auto LUN

reserved volumes.

On-Demand: Displays the number of additional open-system volumes that are available to the

user by the On-Demand storage function.

NOTE:

If you select External Device Only in the Device Type drop-down list, the On-Demand capacity

field is not displayed.

Allocated Mainframe LDEVs: Displays the number of zSeries®, S/390® and multiplatform

volumes that have assigned paths.
