You can specify whether to perform host authentication on each port. By default, user authentication is

If the disk array contains any iSCSI channel adapters, the iSCSI folder appears below the Subsystem

folder.

Double-click the iSCSI folder.

3.

Right-click an iSCSI port that is displayed with (Authentication:OFF).

4.

Select Authentication: OFF -> ON.
The (Authentication:OFF) displayed on the right of the port name changes to (Authentication:ON), and

the port name and (Authentication:ON) are displayed in blue.

5.

Click Apply. A confirmation message appears.

6.

Click OK. The setting is applied to the disk array.

NOTE:

To disable authentication on a port (return the port setting to (Authentication:OFF), perform the

same operation, but select Authentication: ON -> OFF in

step 4

Registering user information of hosts on a port

On iSCSI ports that authenticate hosts, you must register user information for all the hosts that you allow to

connect.

1.

In the Port tree, select a port for which you want to register user information of a host. The user

information of hosts currently registered on the selected port appears in the User Information (Host)

table to the right of the Port tree.

NOTE:

You can register user information of a host even if the port status is (Authentication:OFF).

In this case, however, the registered user information of the host is ignored.

2.

Do one of the following:
a. In the Port tree, right-click a port on which you want to register user information of a host.
b. Right-click any point in the User Information (Host) table.

3.

Select Add New User Information (Host) from the shortcut menu. The Add New User Information (Host)

dialog box appears.
