Introduction

The HP Dual Output USB Graphics Adapter enables you to connect one or two LCD monitors to a
computer with a USB 3.0 (or USB 2.0) port. For desktop users, adding an extra monitor through a
USB connection is much easier than opening the computer chassis and installing an internal video
card.

The HP adapter provides several benefits with an add-on monitor. One benefit is that you get more
desktop area so that you can have more applications visible at one time. For example, you can work
on one monitor while performing a separate task on the other. Other benefits include no more need
for stacking windows within the confines of a single display, or you can span an application, such as
spreadsheets, across two displays. The adapter is also hot pluggable. If you are not using the extra
monitor, just unplug the adapter at any time; no reboot is needed.

System performance is an important issue when using multiple monitors. Another benefit of this
adapter is that it uses minimal computer resources, ensuring you get quality display without
compromising computer performance.
