Disconnect the cable from the cache module or PCIe controller.

6.

Remove the FBWC capacitor pack.

Remove the PCI riser cage

CAUTION:

To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server and

remove all AC power cords before removing or installing the PCI riser cage.

Power down the server (on page

).

2.

Remove all power:

a.

Disconnect each power cord from the power source.

b.

Disconnect each power cord from the server.

3.

Extend the server from the rack (on page

20

).

4.

Remove the access panel (on page

23

).

5.

Remove the PCI riser cage:

a.

Disconnect external cables connected to any existing expansion boards.

b.

Disengage the two PCI riser cage thumbscrews. Lift the tab, rotate 180 degrees, and the
thumbscrew pops up.

c.

Lift the assembly to unseat the PCI riser boards, and then remove the cage.
