7.15 HP Insight firmware management

HP Insight CMU provides support for managing your firmware. You can view and compare BIOS
settings and BIOS firmware versions across a set of chosen nodes. This functionality helps you
confirm that your cluster is configured correctly and consistently. HP Insight CMU also provides
the ability to run a firmware executable on a set of nodes to upgrade your firmware to the latest
version available. This ensures that your cluster hardware is performing efficiently and consistently.

7.15.1 Viewing and analyzing BIOS settings

Use the HP Insight conrep tool to extract BIOS settings from each node to a file. The conrep tool
is freely available from the Support & Drivers link from

http://www.hp.com

on most HP servers.

It can be found separately or packaged within the Smart-Start Scripting Tool Kit (SSSTK).
