NOTE:

Pool association information and a pool management block are elements of the V-VOL

management area. You need the capacity of these two elements to calculate the number of

Snapshot XP pairs you can create. For more information, see ”

” on page 22.

Shortcut menu (pool/volume list): When you select a pool icon in the tree, and then select and

right-click a Snapshot XP pair in the pool/volume list, a shortcut menu with the Pairsplit-S option

appears. If you select Pairsplit-S, the Pairsplit-S pane (

Figure 17

) appears.

Preset list: Content of operations set or specified in the Snapshot XP pane, but not yet applied to the

array. To apply operations displayed in the Preset list to the array, click Apply.
The Preset list displays the following items:
• P-Vol: P-VOL’s port ID, group number of the host group or iSCSI target, and LUN.
• MU: Snapshot ID.
• S-Vol: S-VOL’s port ID, group number of the host group or iSCSI target, and LUN.
• Code: Cause of error. If there is no error, --- appears.
• Preset X(Y): Total number of operations displayed in the Preset list (X) and operation type (Y).

Shortcut menu (pool/volume list): When you select and right-click an operation in the Preset list, a

pop-up menu with the Delete option appears. If you select Delete, you can cancel the selected

operation. The canceled operation is deleted from the Preset list.

Apply button: Applies operations displayed in the Preset list to the array. If the specified operations

complete successfully, the Preset list is cleared. If an error occurs during an operation, the failed

operation remains in the Preset list. The error code and message are displayed on the error pane.

Cancel button: Cancels all operations set in the Preset list.

Displaying detailed information about Snapshot XP pairs

To display detailed information about Snapshot XP pairs, use the Detail or S-Vol Path pane. In the Detail

pane, you can see information such as a P-VOL’s pool usage rate and snapshot IDs. In the S-Vol Path

pane, you can see pair information such as port ID, group number of the host group or iSCSI target, or

LUN.

Display the Business Copy XP main pane.

Select and right-click a Snapshot XP pair in the volume list, and select Detail. The Detail pane appears.
