Transfer Brake Assembly

Materials:

• Hardware Packet D

• Part O (4)

• 7/16” wrench (2)

1. Align the top and bottom holes on the Transfer

Brake (Part O) with the two holes on the bed

frame.

NOTE: Make sure the holes in the brake are facing

the holes in the bed frame (Fig. 3-A).

2. Insert two bolts (Hardware Packet D); one into

the top hole, and one into the bottom hole of

the transfer brake (Fig. 3-B).

3. Place a nut on each bolt (Fig. 3-C).

4. Use a 7/16” wrench to tighten both bolts (Fig. 3-D).
NOTE: Two 7/16” wrenches are needed: One to

hold the bolt, and the other to hold the nut.

DO NOT over tighten.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 until all four transfer brakes are

properly installed.

6. Turn the bed assembly upright and lock all four

casters by pressing down on the lock on each

caster (Fig. 3-E).

Turning the bed upright

requires two people.

NOTE: The bed platform cannot be raised,

lowered or articulated unless the power cord

is plugged into an appropriate grounded AC

electrical outlet. Locate the control pad in the

packaging under the bed frame to raise and

articulate the frame.
