GENERAL

NOTIFIER non-coded,single-action-type, manual fire sta-

tions NFM-950B and NFM-950KB are designed to com-

plete automatic detection circuitry via a manually operated

device.
To facilitate identification and operation, operating instruc-

tions are displayed in raised letters (bilingual) and the sta-

tions are finished in red baked enamel. The rectangular,

low-profile design blends with modern architectural decor.
These manual fire stations consist of a pull-down door and

its support, both made of extruded aluminum, and are de-

signed for semi-flush mounting on a single-gang box. Model

NFM-950B is equipped with a door-operated switch. Model

NFM-950KB is equipped with both a door-operated switch

and a key-operated switch.

OPERATION

The stations are operated by pulling on the door-top. On

the NFM-950KB, this action will expose the key-operated

switch that commands the general alarm. The station can

be restored to normal position with a screwdriver. Manual

stations should be installed: at every means of egress on

every floor (including the basement); in all the rooms occu-

pied by more than 100 people; and at the rate of one sta-

tion per every 111.5 sq.m. (1,200 sq.ft.) of floor area, with

not more than 30.5 m. (100 ft.) of travel between each sta-

tion.

SPECIFICATIONS

The single-action-type manual fire station shall be

NOTIFIER model NFM-950B (NFM-950KB). Operating in-

structions shall be in raised letters (bilingual) and the sta-

tion shall be finished in red baked enamel to facilitate iden-

tification and operation. The station shall consist of a pull-

down door and its support, made of extruded aluminum,

and be designed for semi-flush mounting on a single-gang

box. It shall be equipped with a door-operated switch (NFM-

950KB: and also with a key-operated switch). Stations

shall be operated by pulling on the door-top (NFM-950KB:

normal position by a screwdriver. Manual stations shall be

installed: at every means of egress on every floor, includ-

ing the basement; in all the rooms occupied by more than
