3.4.1 Creating

a

Route

With Main Setup Menu

Routes

access is given to the list of stored

Routes. (max. 20 Routes). Within this list one can select by use of the
arrow keys ▼ or ▲ one of the Routes, or by pressing the F1 key (Ins.
Route) a new Route can be created.
After pressing the F1 key (Ins. Route) at first a name has to be entered
for the new Route. The cursor will blink on the
1st letter of the word " Xxxxx ". With arrow keys ▲ or ▼ it is altered up
to the desired letter. By use of the ► arrow key one proceeds to the
2nd letter, alters it, and so forth. By pressing the OK key
the data entry of the Route’s name is completed. At this point the
individual Waypoints need to be inserted into the Route. After
pressing the F1 key (Ins.Wayp.) the list of available Waypoints
will
appear in the bottom half of the readout screen in alphabetical
order. At the same time one shall see the request: "Select
Waypoint No 1". Again by using the ▲ or ▼ arrow keys the 1st Waypoint is
selected and is added to the Route by pressing the OK key. This
is indicated in the upper half of the screen. By pressing the F1 key
(Ins.WP.) one can select the 2

nd

WP and add it to the Route by

pressing the OK key again, and so on. The highlighted Waypoint
(offset in black) of a Route is always the last one entered, which means
that the function “Ins.WP” will set the next WP to be entered after the
one being highlighted in black. If, for instance, you want to insert an
additional waypoint after WP No. 1, then WP 1 has to be highlighted,
followed by pressing the F1 key (lns.WP); then the request “Select Waypoint
No 2” shall appear. If you notice, for example, that Waypoint No. 4 must be
changed, then you select and delete this WP and insert a new one after the
existing WP3 by pressing F1. Again the list of available Waypoints appears
along with the request “Edit Waypoint No 4”. After selecting and pressing OK,
the old Waypoint is replaced by the newly chosen one.

If one wants to delete a Waypoint from the Route, it is marked and deleted by
pressing the F2 key (Del.Wayp.). The Waypoint is then deleted from the list
without any further prompt.

.

3.4.2 Altering a Route

You select a route to be altered with the ▲ orarrow keys and confirm with
OK. The Route’s name is changed first. If this is not required, then it is
sufficient to press OK again in order to get access to the Waypoints. As
described in the last paragraph, additional Waypoints can now be added or
deleted.

.

3.4.3 Deleting

a

Route

By using the ▲ orarrow keys one selects the route to be deleted
and confirms by pressing the key F2 (Del.Route). For data safety the
FLYTEC 6030 GPS inquires once again: “Delete Route?” which should be answered with “Yes” or “No”.

Notice: Routes may also be set comfortably on the PC by use of the „Flychart 4.52“
PC-Software and be transferred via the PC-interface to the instrument.
