Understanding Roaming

Setting Your Device’s Roam Mode

Roaming is the ability to make or receive calls when you’re off
the Sprint National Network.

Your new Samsung ACE

TM

works anywhere on the Sprint National Network and
allows you to roam on other 1900 and 800 MHz digital
networks where we’ve implemented roaming
agreements with other carriers.

This section explains how roaming works as well as
special features that let you manage your roaming
experience.

Understanding Roaming

Recognizing the Roaming Icon on the Display
Screen

Your device’s Home screen always lets you know when
you’re off the Sprint National Network. Anytime you are
roaming, the device displays the roaming icon (

)

and extra charges may apply when making or
receiving a call.

Roaming on Other Digital Networks

When you’re roaming on digital networks, your call
quality and security will be similar to the quality you
receive when making calls on the Sprint National
Network. However, you may not be able to access
certain features, such as data services, depending on
the available network.

Tip

Remember, when you are using your device off the

Sprint National Network, always dial numbers using

11 digits (1 + area code + number).
