NEF (RAW) Images
Note that the option selected for image size does not affect the size of
NEF (RAW) images.
When opened in software such as ViewNX 2
(supplied) or Capture NX 2 (available separately), NEF (RAW) images
have the dimensions given for large (
#-size) images in the table on the
previous page.

The Image Size Menu
Image size can also be adjusted using the Image
size option in the shooting menu (
