Select songs and start play on your “Walkman” (see page 2 for compatible models), and
put the “Walkman” into the main unit’s connector.

The system charges the battery of the “Walkman” at the same time.
Use the remote or your “Walkman” to play, stop and perform other operations.
When operating the “Walkman” while it is in the connector, brace it with your other hand.

Adjust the volume using VOLUME +/– on the main unit.

Notes

• When the power switch ?/a is turned off, the AC power shuts down.

• Install this system so that the power switch ?/a can be turned off immediately in the event of trouble.

• When taking out or putting in the “Walkman,” keep it straight and parallel with the rear support, as illustrated (A).

• Do not carry the system with a “Walkman” set on the connector. Doing so may cause a malfunction.

• When taking out or putting in the “Walkman,” brace the main unit with one hand and take care not to press the

controls of the “Walkman” by mistake.

• The volume cannot be adjusted using the volume control on the “Walkman” when it is connected to the system.

Press VOLUME + or – on the main unit to adjust the volume.

• If the recording level of the audio data played back on the “Walkman” is too high, sound quality settings, such as

“Equalizer,” made on the “Walkman” may not affect the sound emitted from this system. In this case, adjust the
sound quality using this system’s BASS +/– and TREBLE +/–.

To use the system as a battery charger

Turn on the subwoofer and put the “Walkman” into the main unit’s connector. Battery charging starts
automatically. The charging conditions appear in the “Walkman” display. For details, see the user’s
guide of your “Walkman”.
