Tips

You can change the setting only in the 2D

mode.

[Digital Zoom] is fixed to [On] while recording

photos.

Auto Back Light

This product adjusts the exposure for

backlit subjects automatically.

 On

Adjusts the exposure for backlit subjects

automatically.

Off

Does not adjust the exposure for backlit

subjects.

Dial Setting

You can select an item you want to set to

the MANUAL dial. For details, see page 32.

Face Detection

You can set this product to detect a face

automatically.

It adjusts the focus/color/exposure

automatically for the face of the subject.

Auto

Detects faces without distinction between

adults and children.

Child Priority( )

Gives faces of children priority.

Adult Priority( )

Gives faces of adults priority.

 Off ( )

Does not detect faces.

Notes

The frame does not appear on faces, even when

this product detects the faces.

Faces may not be detected depending on

recording conditions, subject conditions, and

the setting of this product.

[Face Detection] may not function properly

depending on recording conditions. Set [Face

Detection] to [Off] in this case.

Tips

For better face detection performance, shoot the

subject(s) under the following conditions:

Shoot in a sufficiently bright place

The subject(s) does not wear glasses, a hat

or mask

The subject(s) faces directly towards this

product

Wind Noise Reduct.

You can record a movie with less wind

noise by cutting the low-frequency sound

input from the built-in microphone.

 Off

Disables wind noise reduction.

On (

)

Enables wind noise reduction.

Micref Level
(Microphone
reference level)

You can select the microphone level for

recording sound.

 Normal

Records ambient sounds, converting them

into the appropriate level.

Low ( )

Records ambient sound faithfully. Select

[Low] when you want to record an exciting

and powerful sound in a concert hall, etc.

(This setting is not suitable for recording

conversations.)
