Adjusting the settings of your Network Walkman

Limiting the
volume (AVLS)

You can set AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter
System) to limit the maximum volume to prevent
auditory disturbance or distraction. With AVLS,
you can listen to music at a comfortable volume
level.

Press and hold the SOUND/AVLS
button for half a second.

The

(AVLS) indication is displayed. The

volume is kept at a moderate level.

To cancel AVLS

Press and hold the SOUND/AVLS button until the

indication goes out.

Setting the
volume using the
preset volume
function

There are two modes to adjust the volume level.

Manual mode:

Rotate the VOL (+/–) control to
adjust the volume level in the
range of 0 to 31.

Preset mode:

Rotate the VOL (+/–) control to
set the volume level to any of
three preset levels: LO, MID, or
HI.
