Disconnecting external speakers

You can disconnect external speakers when the computer is on or off. Simply
unplug the speaker cable from the Headphone jack

on the computer.

Notes on using the speakers

Do not connect external speakers to the A/V OUT jack. Connecting speakers
to this jack will not damage the speakers, but only one speaker will function.

Do not use the external speakers and the compact woofer at the same time.
Using both devices at the same time does not enhance sound quality.

Adjusting the volume

To adjust the volume for playing CDs and DVDs, use the Volume icon

on the

Windows® taskbar or the volume dial control. Adjusting the volume for playing
CDs or DVDs does not adjust the volume for recording CDs or DVDs.

Connecting External Speakers

See the guide that came with your speakers for more information on its installation
and use.

You can only adjust the recording volume in the Recording Control window. See
“Using a microphone or other device to record” for instructions on how to open this
window.
