When you press play, pause, fast forward or rewind, a Status Bar appears on the lower
part of your screen. In live TV, the Status Bar represents one hour (notice the white tick
marks every 15 minutes). In recorded programs, the bar shows the program’s length.

The green portion of the bar represents the part of the program saved by the Receiver.
The Receiver automatically saves up to thirty minutes of live TV. Any unsaved part of
the program is represented by black. You can use Trick Play features to move back and
forward through the saved portion of a program.

A white, vertical line shows where you are in the recording. While watching live TV,
the right edge of the green represents the current time. If there is green on the right side
of the white line then you are behind live TV. (You are watching a saved program, not
what is currently coming in from the satellite.) You can use the ADVANCE
button(

)to catch up to live TV. An icon representing the Trick Play feature you are

using appears beneath the bar.
