Safety Information

WARNING

1. To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose your Sony computer to rain or moisture.

2. Never install modem or telephone wiring during a lightning storm.

3. Never install telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jack is specifically designed for wet

locations.

4. Never touch uninsulated telephone wire or terminals unless the telephone line has been

disconnected at the network interface.

5. Use caution when installing or modifying telephone lines.

6. Avoid using the modem during an electrical storm.

7. Do not use the modem or a telephone to report a gas leak in the vicinity of the leak.

The laser beam used in the CD/DVD/CD-R drive unit is harmful to the eyes. Do not attempt to disassemble the

cabinet. Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.

Regulatory Information
