DVD Disc Operations

Searching for a Particular Point on a
Disc (

Scan, Slow-motion Play, Freeze

Frame

)

You can quickly locate a particular point on a disc by
monitoring the picture or playing back slowly.

~

• Depending on the disc, you may not be able to do

some of the operations described.

• This section applies to DVD-Video discs; however,

you can also use this feature to search for a point in
MP3 playback.

• Scan speeds may vary depending on the disc.

Locating a point quickly by playing a disc in fast
forward or fast reverse (Scan)

While playing a disc, press the M button to scan
forward and m button to scan backward. Each
consecutive time you press the M or m button, the
scanning speed will change. A number displayed with
the scan symbol indicates the scan speed (i.e. 2 is faster
than 1). To stop scanning and play from the point
selected, press N.

Playing in slow-motion

While the disc is in Pause mode, press the M or m
buttons to play the disc forward or backward in slow-
motion. Each consecutive press of the M or m
buttons will change the speed of the slow-motion
playback. Press N to return the playback to normal
speed.

Searching for a Title/Chapter/Track/
Scene, etc.

You can search a DVD by title or chapter, and you can
search a CD/DATA CD/DATA DVD by track, index,
