Using an external
flash

Mode dial:

/P/S/A/M/SCN

Using an external flash will allow you to
shoot more vivid flash pictures than when
using an internal flash.

The flash does not strobe when shooting in
Burst 3, Exposure Bracket,

(Twilight

mode), MPEG Movie or Multi Burst mode.

You cannot have an external flash and the built-
in flash strobe at the same time.

Note that when shooting with two or more
external flashes, the camera functions may not
operate normally, or the camera may
malfunction.

You can carry out this operation even when the
mode dial is set to

(Clip Motion).

Using the Sony HVL-F32X
Flash

You can mount the Sony HVL-F32X flash
on the advanced accessory shoe of your
camera. The HVL-F32X is also equipped
with automatic flash level adjustment and
AF fill light shooting functions.

Mount the HVL-F32X external
flash on the advanced
accessory shoe.

Turn on the HVL-F32X.

Set the mode dial to

S,

A, M or SCN.

Shoot the image.

When using a Sony optional external flash,
check that [Hot Shoe] is set to [Off] in the SET
UP settings.
