The clock starts.
• Set [DST SET]/[SUMMERTIME] to [ON]
to move the time forward 1 hour.
• You can set any year up to the year 2037.
• For midnight, set it to 12:00 AM. For
midday, set it to 12:00 PM.
z Tips
• The date and time are automatically recorded on
the selected memory card, and can be displayed
during playback (DATA CODE button, p. 49).
You can change the on-screen displays to
show messages in a specified language.
Press the MENU button and select
(OTHERS) with the SEL/PUSH EXEC
dial. Select the screen language in
[LANGUAGE] (p. 80).

Open the cover in the direction of
the arrow.

Orient the memory card’s
notched corner as shown in the
illustration, and insert into the
memory card slot until it clicks.

• If you insert a memory card into the slot in
the wrong direction, the memory card, the
memory card slot, or image data may be
damaged.
• When you insert a new memory card in
standby mode, the [Create a new Image
Memory card slot A and
its access lamp
