Importing files to a

computer/Organising files

You can enjoy music by transferring music files stored in
the computer to this unit.
This unit can play back MP3 music files.

• Connect this unit to a computer beforehand. (➜ page 31)

1. Copy or move the folders or fi les on the

computer to “MUSIC” folder in this unit.

Folder in the computer

Up to 199 files per one folder can be recognised and
played back. If subfolders are created, number of files
playable is reduced by the number of subfolders created.

Never disconnect the unit during data transfer.
The file data or the unit may be damaged.

You can create subfolders in “MUSIC” folder to transfer
and play back files. For folder structure, see “Folder
structure on this unit”. (➜ page 34)

Music files cannot be played back even if they are
transferred to “MIC” folder.

Files transferred directly below the internal memory cannot
be played back on this unit. Transfer to “MUSIC” folder.

The illustrations show Windows 7 (OS).

1. Open “Computer” on the computer.

The internal memory of this unit is displayed with the

following name.
Internal Memory: IC RECORDER

2. Open the internal memory, and copy or

move the folders or fi les to the computer.

Do not format this unit using a computer.

“MIC” and “MUSIC” folders are displayed as “MIC” and
“MUSIC” folders on a computer.

“DATA” folder is used to store files other than music
files or files recorded using the built-in microphone.
You can see this folder on the computer, but this is not
displayed on the screen of this unit.

“MANUAL” folder contains the Operating Instructions
(PDF format).
