Symptom

Checkpoints

Recording
Recorded sound is distorted.
There is a noise at the
beginning of sound.

• Lower the microphone sensitivity (➜ page 16) or move further away from

the recording sound source. If the sound is still distorted, use the LOW CUT
FILTER (➜ page 16) for recording.

Recorded sounds contain
noise that makes it difficult to
hear sounds.

• Move a mobile phone away from this unit when you use the two in the same

area.

• Using the LOW CUT FILTER will reduce noise and listening may become

clearer. (➜ page16)

• Set the optimal recording settings by changing the sound quality (➜ page 15)

and microphone sensitivity (➜ page 16) and performing trial recordings.

Recorded sound is too loud or
too small.

• Switch the microphone sensitivity. (➜ page 16)

Cannot perform timer
recording.

• Is there remaining recording time? (➜ page 12)

• 199 recorded files (maximum recordable number) may be present in the folder.

If the folder contains 199 recorded files, no more files can be recorded.

• The unit cannot be operated when connected to a computer. Disconnect it

from the computer. (➜ page 31)

• If another recording is in progress, even if the time comes to start the timer

recording, the current recording is prioritised. Stop the recording. However, if
you are using the unit for operations other than recording, the timer recording
is prioritised.
