Optional accessories
After attaching the external flash (DMW-FL360L, DMW-FL220, DMW-FL360,
DMW-FL500: optional), the effective range will be increased when compared to the
camera’s built in flash.
∫ Using the dedicated flash (DMW-FL360L: optional)
Preparations:
•
Close the built-in flash, and then turn this unit off.
• Remove the hot shoe cover that is attached to the camera.
1 Attach the dedicated flash to the hot shoe and then turn on the camera and the
dedicated flash.
2 Select [Flash] on the [Rec] menu. (P37)

Press 3/4 to select [Flash Mode] and then press [MENU/SET].
4 Press 3/4 to select an item and then press [MENU/SET].

While the external flash is connected, the following icons are displayed.

Removing the Hot Shoe Cover
The camera comes with a hot shoe cover attached to the hot shoe.
Remove the hot shoe cover by pulling it in the
direction indicated by arrow 2 while pressing it in
the direction indicated by arrow 1.
• When the hot shoe is not in use, make sure to attach the hot shoe
cover.
• Please be careful not to lose the hot shoe cover.
• Keep the Hot Shoe Cover out of reach of children to prevent
swallowing.
