(2012 Update - Hardtop)
2012 Jeep JK Wranglers with hard tops will need to space jack holder away from tailgate to clear
redesigned (larger) rear glass. If spacers are not used rear glass will make contact with jack holder
and possible damaging glass trim or glass. DO NOT install jack holder to 2012 vehicles equipped
with factory hardtop without installing supplied spacer.
(step1) - Place small hole (M8) spacer to the top mounting bolt for jack holder as shown. Make sure
bolts goes through metal spacer supplied with Jack hardware. Hand start threads. Do not tighten
at this time (pic. 1, pic. 2).
(step 2) - Slide large hole M10 spacer behind jack holder and lower mounting bracket. Insert M10
x 30mm hex head bolts and hand start threads. Do not tighten at this time (pic. 3, pic. 4).
(step 3) - Adjust jack holder and tighten bolts (pic. 5). Open tailgate and check clearance of rear glass and jack
holder (pic. 6). Additional adjustment can be made by slightly bending the top of the holder forward
if needed (pic. 7). If equipped with Rugged Ridge tire carrier open and close carrier to insure jack
holder does not make contact with tire carrier (pic. 8).
