Electrical Safety

Dangerous environment

• Do not use power tools in damp or wet conditions, or expose them to

rain. Provide adequate surrounding work space and keep the area well
lit. Do not use power tools where there is a risk of explosion or fire from
combustible material, flammable liquids, flammable gases, or dust of
an explosive nature. When using power tools, avoid contact with any
earthed items such as pipes, radiators, cookers, refrigerators, metal
baths and taps

Protect yourself from vibration

• Hand-held power tools may produce vibration. Vibration can cause

disease. Gloves may help to maintain good blood circulation in the
fingers. Hand-held tools should not be used for long periods without a
break

Switch off before connecting

• Ensure the power tool is switched off before connecting to the power

source. If the power tool stops unexpectedly, turn the power switch to
OFF

Always disconnect

• Before changing fittings or accessories, always disconnect the tool from

the power source

Do not abuse the power cable

• Be sure the cable / extension cable is in good condition. Always have

a damaged cable / extension cable replaced at an authorised service
centre before using. Never pull the cable to disconnect it from the power
socket. Never carry the tool by its cable. Keep the cable away from damp,
heat, oil, solvents, and sharp edges

Maintain your power tool

• Ensure all ventilation holes are kept clear at all times, otherwise

overheating and fire may occur

Do not modify the power tool

• Do not modify the power tool in any way as this could result in serious

injury and may invalidate its guarantee

Do not leave the tool running unattended

• Always wait until the tool has completely stopped functioning and has

been unplugged before leaving it unattended

Nailer Stapler safety

• Always keep your hands clear of the workpiece when using the nailer

stapler. Staples may cause serious injury if fired accidentally

• Always disconnect the nailer stapler from the power supply before

reloading staples or nails

• Never point this tool at persons or animals. Staples or nails fired, even

from a distance, can cause significant injuries

• Always position the nailer stapler at 90˚ to the work surface. Firing at

the wrong angle may cause staples or nails to ricochet back towards
the operator

• Do not attempt to fire staples into inappropriate materials. This nailer

stapler should only be used for wood, plasterboard, cork, or other soft
materials

• Ensure that the workpiece is adequately sturdy to stop the staple. In

some situations it may be possible for a staple or nail to pass through
a workpiece

• Do not attempt to fire staples or nails over existing fixings
• Do not fire staples or nails close to the edge of a workpiece, small pieces

may split off and could cause injury

• Do not use this tool to fasten electrical wiring. Contact with electric

current can lead to fire and/or electric shock
