PD-HF IN-LINE PULSE SUPPRESSOR

INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The FMI PD-HF In-Line Pulse Suppressor is designed for high flow systems of 50 ml/min or greater and stroke rates
higher than 150 strokes per minute. A unique encapsulated polyethylene bellows eliminates tubing vibrations and cav-
itation problems. Uses easy to connect 1/4” compression fittings. Best results are achieved when installed in both
suction and discharge lines.

1. Attach FMI PD-HF as close as possible to Pump Head Module (PHM). Install one PD-HF in discharge line and/or

suction line using 1/4” O.D. tubing between the PHM and PD-HF. Make tubing as short as possible. Caution: be
sure not to insert tubing more than 1/4” past end of nut. Mark a spot ¾” from end of tube and push into nut to as-
sure correct length….. Any further will cause damage to bellows.

2. Upon start up it is recommended to flush system for about one minute to assure any residue from past use is re-

moved …always flush systems with clean water prior to shut down
